In 2003, Hays County, Texas, became the first county in the nation to provide a Rainwater Collection Incentive Program by offering a $100 development fee

The City of Austin Greenbuilder Program offers a rebate for up to $500 on the
cost of installing a rainwater harvesting system. An application must be approved before equipment is purchased. The application includes a formula to calculate optimum tank size and a list of area suppliers and installation contractors. For further information, call 512-974-2199 or go to:
